Meetup: Rockstars and Superstars: What’s the difference? Which one are you?

Kim Scott, author of Radical Candor, believes high performers can be categorized as Rockstars or Superstars. The former want to work in a world they can change; the latter prefer a world they can stabilize. If your team wants to maximize its potential, you’ll need both. This virtual meet-up will begin with an overview and discussion of Warning: This Is Not Your Grandfather’s Talent Planning, a management article published by The Review, that describes the critical roles Rockstars and Superstars play on a high-performing team. Participants will be expected to read the article in advance and consider which category best matches their current season of life. Superstars will be invited to share why they’re in a steep growth trajectory, and Rockstars will be invited to share why theirs is a more gradual growth trajectory. The anticipated outcome of the meet-up is a deeper understanding of how both roles contribute to the overall health of an organizational team.
